On the 4th of July I went up to photograph these two adorable little ones. I was all excited when they wanted to book the 4th; I figured I’d go up there, do the session, and then my husband could bring up our kids for the annual Springfield Parade that he grew up watching. Perfect, right? He didn’t think taking our two little kids 40 minutes from home in the sweltering July sun to watch a few fire trucks was the most brilliant idea. Oh well. It worked out anyway- the kids were great and it wasn’t too hot since we met early in the morning, and we were done in time for P and E to see the end of the parade. Look at the eyes on these kids- stunning, huh? And P couldn’t have been a sweeter big brother. I have to say, I am very fortunate in that I usually work with very cooperative kids:) Enjoy your preview, K family! It was nice seeing you again!
Last Wednesday I had two sessions at Longwood. Sooner or later the folks there are going to figure out that I live there and start charging me room and board. Seriously, though- the place is beautiful and you can’t beat their very fair policy on pictures on the grounds- all they ask is that everyone has a ticket. There are many, many other places around here that are far more expensive to use as a location, and not nearly as picturesque. So thanks, Longwood Gardens. Last Wednesday worked out to be a 10 as far as the weather went, and in the morning my little ones and I met up with J and her two beautiful little girls. R and K were full of smiles and laughs, and R and my K loved running around chasing butterflies. We also found my new favorite spot to shoot…thanks J for a fun morning:)
Then later on I met up with R, D and little L…who is the cute little guy on my website (see below…)
The two mommies of these great kids are ladies I am lucky enough to work with- and I am so excited we got some great shots. Enjoy your preview- full galleries will be up in the next two weeks or so:)
